6+ more weeks of sweet heaven - August 28, 2017

Hi fam! It's been another great week in Manette! I'm actually shocked at how fast time is flying by now. This week has been so good and the work has been moving along! On Tuesday, We had interviews with President Leishman. He told me in my interview that Sister Codling and I will be staying in Manette another transfer! Yay! We also did splits with the other sisters in our district. I got to go serve in Seabeck with Sister Larsen for the day. It was a good time. On Thursday, we had another lesson with Fono and wow, was it powerful. We talked more about baptism with him. His son is turning 8 on September 10th and we're hoping that he'll be able to receive the Priesthood and baptize his son. This week we're fasting with Fono to know when he should be baptized. On Saturday, we had another lesson with KC on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His girlfriend Tianna, that's a member of the church, was visiting from Oregon and was able to come to the lesson and church with us! At the end of the lesson, we asked KC to pray and he gave the most amazing prayer. At the end of the prayer, I looked up and everyone was in tears including him. Both him and his girlfriend said that neither of them cry and we were able to teach him that that's what the spirit feels like. KC already has a very strong testimony and has faith in everything that we've taught him. However, it's been really hard for him to get work off, so we're praying that he can get work off every Sunday from now on! Him and Tianna mentioned that they're working toward the goal of being married in the the Temple next year! I'm so happy for them! Yesterday we had another lesson with William on the Plan of Salvation. The lesson was so strong during our lesson. I love how simple and pure William's testimony is. He's working towards being baptized on September 10th. However, his parents have split custody over him. His dad is a wicken and doesn't necessarily approve of the church. We're praying that his dad's heart will be softened and that he'll give William permission to be baptized! This week I've been sick, but have seen the blessings through working through my sickness and trial. I would appreciate it if you guys could pray for my health as well as my investigators! I came across a quote this week that I absolutely love... "Our opportunities to give of ourselves are indeed limitless, but they are also perishable. There are hearts to gladden. There are kind words to say. There are gifts to be given. There are deeds to be done. There are souls to be saved." -Thomas S. Monson. Lets all do a little better this week at looking outside ourselves and sharing kindness with everyone! I love you all! Sister Peterson These are our golden gals-- Gea Gea and Norita. We visit them every week and read the Book of Mormon with them!
