Hi fam! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween!
For Halloween, we celebrated on Monday by carving pumpkins with our Zone. We came wearing matching "Two P's in a pod" shirts that Sister Pullins' grandma made for us. On Tuesday, we spent the day up in Centralia at the dentist, getting our oil changed, etc. and got together with the Zone again for a Halloween party! We watched the Best Two Years and ate candy galore. Despite our terrible pumpkin carving, we had the best (and only) Halloween costume. We were Elders!
On Saturday, we knocked doors from 11am-8pm with a dinner break in between. It was a rough week for finding new investigators, so we went out on a day long quest to find new investigators in the pouring rain and were able to find 4 solid people that were ready to hear the gospel! At the end of the night, we treated ourselves to some good music at the Nielson's house. We had a jam session that included singing, guitars, ukuleles, and violins. It was definitely a memorable day.
This week, we had a few powerful lessons with Ed. It's just so happy to see how happy the gospel has made him and see the change that has come into his life. We're so excited for his baptism!
We were also able to have a lesson with Connor and attend a baptism with him and the Pope family so that he could see what it's like. It made him really excited to be baptized! This week, he's going to talk to his family and explain how much it means to him and ask for their support in his baptism. Then he'll pick a day to be baptized!
We also had a lesson with Lauri and she just gets so excited whenever we come over. Every time we meet with her, she's always amazed how the difficult questions that she's had throughout her life can be answered so clearly and simply. It's been cool to see her progress.
Weekly animal encounter: A guy sent his massive hunting dog after us and laughed while it attacked us. Oh, and we listened to a pack of coyotes attack a deer only a few hundred feet away from us where we just previously were. Good times.
I love you all and hope you have the best week! The light of the gospel is just so happy, make it a part of your life!
