Spiritually fed - November 13, 2017

What a week we had! On Wednesday, we had Zone Conference which is always a highlight of the transfer! The theme of the conference was "Becoming the message." Our spirituality can't just be something we drag out of the closet just as we go out the door to give a lesson. It has to be who we are 24/7. Sister Skinner taught me that when she hates her life, she thinks "Which Christlike attribute do I lack?" On Thursday, we had another dentist appointment and ended up in Chehalis. It is the cutest town and we tracted there just about all day. On Friday, we had exchanges with our STL's in Olympia. I got to go with Sister Skinner who is the biggest diva and best missionary around! It was fun to be back in the city culture for a day and have a sleepover at their apartment! On Saturday, we had the privilege of hearing from Elder Gary E. Stevenson and Elder Kearon! It was so cool being able to meet them! Elder Kearon is a convert to the church himself! Here are some highlights from his training: -Work hard, but stop worrying so much. Drop the anxiety and rise to a new sense of commitment. -We're not here on Earth to receive a grade, but to experience the process of becoming. -Picture every person twice in white- once for baptism and once for proxy baptism. -As missionaries we're chefs providing daily spiritual food and nourishment both before and after baptism. -"Look unto Christ in every thought; doubt not, fear not." Some highlights from Elder Stevenson's training: -Find unity in diversity and you will always have the spirit. -The Lord calls us as ordinary beings to an extraordinary calling. -The more commandments and rules we have, the more blessings we have the chance to receive. -Extend commitments, promise blessings, and testify -A lesson without a commitment is a waste of time. -Testifying answers ALL questions -Read the Book of Mormon, relish it, and pray about it. Yesterday we were able to have another lesson with Thunderstone. She is seriously one of my favorite investigators! She's never had any experience with any religion and is just so open and happy to learn! She'll be getting baptized on December 3rd. Pray for her! Also, happy news! I found out that the Bergman family in my last area are getting baptized!!! Miracles do happen and it's probably the happiest news I've ever received! I love you all! Have a great week! -Sister Peterson
