Sunny in Skyline - January 15, 2018

Hello fam! Wow, it has been an amazing week! I am so lucky to be serving here with Sister Fisher! She is such a hard worker and a light! It seriously is about to be a good transfer. First off, I love it here in Skyline! I honestly think I'll live here again someday. The Skyline area is the nice beautiful part of Tacoma that includes Point Defiance and Day Island. It's been sunny and the days have been getting longer so we've been enjoying some nice beautiful runs in the morning. The ward is so amazing! My second day here, I discovered that I have several long lost cousins in the ward! The Betteridges! After 19 years of not knowing them, it was nice catching up with them. Haha. This area has a lot of cultural diversity. Yesterday we knocked an entire apartment complex that was almost entirely Russian. A lot of them didn't speak English, but it was cool teaching them using pictures and our smiles. We were also able to teach them English and they taught us some Russian! This week has been a miracle! We both were doubled into the area and didn't know much about this place or the ward. So we worked extra hard to build up our teaching pool and find new investigators. Within just a few days, we had about 20 new investigators and 3 people on date for baptism! This place is full of miracles! I'm so grateful to encounter so many people each day that come from all different backgrounds. And even more importantly, I'm so grateful to testify of my Savior Jesus Christ all day everyday. Thank you all for the prayers! I love each of you!
