Hi fam! So big news... I'm being transferred to Centralia tomorrow and am follow up training! It'll be interesting training someone that came out only a transfer after me in a brand new area, but I'm so excited! I'm heartbroken to leave Bremerton, but feel an overwhelming peace and assurance that Centralia is exactly where I'm supposed to be at this time and that God is fully aware of me! Which leads to a special tender mercy that happened this week...
On Seattle Saturday, we celebrated it the right way and took our recent convert KC to the Temple in Seattle! We got to ride the ferry over to Seattle which was amazing!! We saw seals and jellyfish and all sorts of beautiful views. Right as we got to the Temple, we received our transfer call in the parking lot and then directly after we ran into some other Sister Missionaries, their Recent convert, and a few other people in their ward in front of the Temple. As we got talking to them, it turns out that they're serving in the area that I'm being transferred to and all those members are in my new ward! I was able to do baptisms and confirmations in the Temple with some of my new ward as well as some members from my old ward. It was also really cool because KC was able to perform his dad and grandpa's work. It was definitely a day that I'll never forget!
This week, we had 2 lessons with Robert. When we started the first lesson, we asked him if he had any specific questions. He said that he was wondering where we were before Earth and where we'll be going after because he feels like there's more. Ahhh so cool! We taught him the Plan of Salvation and he was so receptive to all of it even though he grew up Baptist and they have very different beliefs about our plan. After the lesson, we walked into the chapel at the church and he began crying and said "I've never felt anything like this before!" On the next lesson, we taught him the Restoration and talked about the Book of Mormon. He loved it and kept saying "I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God!" He loved the First vision and kept having us repeat Joseph Smith's experience in the grove because he felt the spirit so strongly each time. We invited him to be baptized and he's SO excited to be baptized on November 4th!
Which speaking of, Dionte was baptized yesterday!! It was such an amazing experience and he's just the coolest guy! He's been really faithful with his Book of Mormon reading and is already towards the end of Alma.
This week we had a funeral for Elder Struble with funeral potatoes, flowers, you name it because he's going home this transfer. That was fun.
Today we have a big gatorball game against the Silverdale zone. We've been prepping the whole transfer for this game, so keep the Bremerton zone in your prayers. I'll let you know who wins (;
Thank you for all the love and support that I've received! I know that God has a very specific plan for each one of us and that he loves us more than we can even comprehend. I love you all!
