White Christmas and a Happy New Year - January 1, 2018

Hello hello! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! It's crazy to think that I've been out 6 months and that I'm now starting my blackout year with only a year left! I apologize that I wasn't able to email last week. It's been an eventful past few weeks! We had snow the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of December. It was really funny to see all the Washingtonians get really excited about snow. It hardly ever snows here, so that was exciting! The first exciting news item is that Ed received the Priesthood! We were able to do family history with him and find some names to take to the Temple. We'll be going to the Portland Temple with him on Tuesday! And the exciting part about that is that he'll be able to baptize us! Yay! Unfortunately, Connor's baptism didn't end up happening. He passed his interview, we had the baptism all set up and programs printed off, and it was all really to go. However the night before, he texted us and said that after a lot of consideration, he wants more time to prepare and learn. He recognizes that baptism is a very sacred covenant and he's wanting to make sure that he has more time to fully comprehend it and make sure that he's doing it for the right reasons. So stay tuned and keep praying for him! A few days before Christmas, we had Christmas Zone Conference! We did a sock exchange, each Zone did a skit, and we all went crazy singing lots of Christmas songs. We also had a sleepover that night in Lacey with my cheetah sisters-- Codling and Skinner! On Christmas Eve, we had a Zone party! We watched Polar Express, ate Christmas junk, and did a White elephant exchange. It was a good time! On Saturday, we went on exchanges in Olympia! I got to go with Sister Finch from American Fork. She's amazing and such a powerful missionary! We spent all day finding and street contacting in downtown Olympia. That was interesting and so funny. We had so many miracles happen that day and we were able to teach so many lessons to those that we found that day. We've seen so many miracles lately and we're sure excited for the New Year! Love you all!
