Hey friends! Wasn't this weekend the greatest weekend of your life?? I'm so grateful for a living day Prophet and the revelation that we can each receive from him. I can promise that each of you can find answers to the questions you have as you pray and ponder about the words that were spoken. If you haven't had the opportunity to listen yet, go check out lds.org!
This weekend was very special for me because exactly 2 years ago while watching general conference, I received a confirmation that I was supposed to serve a mission. I had been seeking to know which direction I should take in life and was praying to know if God would have me serve a mission. As general conference began, the opening number was the missionary choir from the MTC. It was then that God answered my prayer and that I knew I needed to serve a mission. Throughout conference, they spoke all about missionary work and gathering Israel. Soon after, I began to prepare and started my papers.
Now flash forward two years! On Saturday, I sat watching conference with my recent convert Bailey and he received the same confirmation about serving a mission as I did 2 years prior. The missionary choir from the MTC sang and I reflected back on my own experience. After watching general conference at the members house with him, he began asking questions about serving a mission and told us that he felt like he needed to serve! It was such a special experience!!
Also, we're now in a trio! An emergency transfer happened and we're with my grandchild Sister Call! She is the cutest and is the perfect addition to our companionship. We've been having so much fun and are grateful to be able to work hard and see miracles together!
Sister Hutchings and I are giving a training in Zone Conference on effective fellowshipping this week, so if any of you have any experiences or insight about fellowship, we would appreciate it if you sent it to us before Wednesday!
Update on Michael: He's doing awesome!! He's in the pathways program and even taught an FHE to us and the Nelson's yesterday. He is living a testimony of the atonement and talks about how there is nothing that could shake his testimony. I hope you all get to meet him someday!
I love you all! We are staying busier than ever and I appreciate all your support!
Love, Sister Peterson
