Hi everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Mother's day. I'm so grateful for my mom and for all of the wonderful women in my life. I loved celebrating Mother's day by talking to the best mom in the entire world!
I have some bittersweet news, I'm being transferred! I'm going to Parkland as an STL (Sister training leader) with Sister York! There hasn't been sisters in the area recently, so we'll be opening the area back up. I'm heartbroken to leave and have become SO attached to the Skyline ward! I've met my long lost family members, have basically been adopted into other families, and have made eternal friendships. I'm grateful for these experiences, and am so excited for more in Parkland!
This week, we met the coolest woman named Shaquirrah (pronounced Shakira) and her hips don't lie. (; We met her at a park with her 2 little toddlers and invited her to come to the ward potluck. She loved it and kept mentioning how comfortable her and her kids felt! She was able to come to church as well and really felt the spirit. She's had a tough life and is ready for some positive change. It was hard saying goodbye to her, but I'm super thankful for technology! Now that we have smart phones, I'll be able to keep in frequent contact with her. I love her!
